The wildlife overpass on Interstate 25 between Larkspur and Monument in Colorado has cut collisions between vehicles and animals by 91 per cent after about ten months. The Colorado Department of Transportation projected the reduction, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife commented on the results. Crossings like this give animals a safe route over busy roads, so they are less likely to be hit and drivers are less likely to be hurt. The collision figures were first reported by The Colorado Sun on 14 October 2026. Good News Network's report gives the agency responses and the background to the project.
